Pet Laboratory in St. John, IN
Our facility specializes in diagnostic testing and analysis of samples from animals to help in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical disorders through our pet laboratory, also known as a veterinary laboratory.
Pet Laboratory
If your pet requires diagnostic blood testing, we can perform blood work in the clinic while you wait. In about 30 minutes, we can have a full chemistry analysis, complete blood count (CBC), and a urinalysis to rapidly identify illness and allow us to proceed with a treatment plan. We also perform pre-surgical blood work on the morning of surgery to ensure anesthetic safety. Our veterinarians frequently do on-site cytology to diagnose whether a mass or lump on your pet’s skin is benign or potentially cancerous.
We at St. John Animal Clinic also employ a full reference lab, where we can send out more complicated blood panels, urine, and skin cultures, and other tests. Free consultations with specialists on cases are also available from our reference lab when needed.
