You are not alone in this journey, and we can discuss your pet’s quality of life and possible medications to help alleviate their suffering. The decision to euthanize your pet can be the final gift that you give them. We will stand by you in this decision, help answer all your questions, and provide guidance in making the right decisions for your pet and family members.
We provide detailed information to you about the process of euthanasia, so you will understand the process and will be prepared. We frequently recommend sedation prior to euthanasia to ease anxiety but will leave all choices ultimately up to you. You and your family may choose to be present and use our private comfort room. If you decide not to be present, we will treat your pet as our own and hold them through the end-of-life transition.
It is important to discuss and make all these decisions, including aftercare for your pet, ahead of time. Some people take their pet home for burial, but many choose cremation.
